Here at Ableforce, we understand just how important a boiler is to the overall wellbeing of a family at home. Hot water and a cosy house in winter are things we all take for granted.
Choosing and installing the right boiler for your home isn’t always obvious though. Here at Ableforce we can steer you in the right direction when it comes to choosing a boiler that is right for you.
There are three principal types of boiler:
A combi boiler is a combined water heater and central heating boiler combined within a single compact unit. No hot water tank is needed, so less space is needed for installation.
A combi boiler is suitable if:
– You have little space in your home
– You want hot water available on tap without having to wait for it to heat up
A regular boiler or conventional boiler comes with a cylinder and a tank. It heats your central heating system and produces hot water for the tank, which then allows you to draw hot water from several taps at the same time. The downside is that the hot water can run out and you need space in your home for the tank.
A regular boiler is suitable if:
– You have more than two bathrooms
– The mains water pressure is low
A system boiler is similar to a regular boiler as it works on the principle of stored hot water. However, it differs from a regular boiler in that many of the major components of the hot water system are built into the boiler, meaning quicker installation and an easier and more efficient system. It is also faster and more economical to run, removing the need for a feed and expansion cistern.
